Starting Scouting with your Tiger can feel exciting—and maybe a little overwhelming. This special Tiger Family Training Experience is designed to show new families just how fun, simple, and rewarding Cub Scouting can be.
Parents and Tigers will participate together in a sample Tiger den meeting, giving families a firsthand look at what a Cub Scout meeting feels like and how easy it can be to create meaningful experiences for youth. Along the way, Tigers and their adults will complete activities that support both Tiger advancement and leader training, helping everyone learn by doing.
After experiencing an example of a den meeting, Tigers will continue their adventure with trained volunteers and youth helpers, working toward the Champions for Nature Adventure Loop, playing games, and enjoying hands-on Scouting fun. Meanwhile, parents will complete additional training, gain practical tools, ideas, and confidence to support or lead a Tiger den.
Why Attend?
This experience helps families:
- See how a Tiger den meeting works in real life
- Learn that Cub Scout leadership is shared, supported, and manageable
- Gain confidence and resources for helping lead or support a den
- Connect with experienced Scouting volunteers and other new Tiger families
- Leave with ideas for future den meetings
- Discover how family involvement makes the Scouting experience even more meaningful
What Tigers Will Earn
Registered Tigers will work toward and receive adventures earned during the event, including:
