When using the Boy Scouts of America Internet Rechartering, the recharter representative for your pack, troop, team, or crew will be able to indicate returning members, add new members, and update information for the charter organization or any individual in the unit.

A complete set of instructions to recharter online will accompany your official recharter packet. This unit kit will include the same materials as in years past. The Internet Rechartering process will greatly assist your unit and the Northeast Illinois Council in compiling and maintaining the most accurate and up to date unit information.

The Internet Rechartering system is also designed to integrate Packmaster and Troopmaster software. If your unit currently uses this software you may upload your roster information directly into the Internet Rechartering program.

How to Use Internet Rechartering

Each unit in the Northeast Illinois Council will select an adult to serve as the unit's charter renewal processor.

Anyone in your unit who desires to learn more about how Internet Rechartering works can take the interactive Internet Rechartering online tutorial and view the online help information.  The Internet Rechartering Tutorial is now available through the link at the top.  Online Help is also available through the link on the top.

To Renew a Charter Online:

  1. The unit renewal processor can logon beginning November 1.
  2. When the online process is completed, the renewal processor prints the completed charter renewal application.
  3. The unit leader and the chartered organization executive officer sign the charter renewal application.
  4. Bring the renewal application, youth and adult applications to your district´s charter turn-in meeting. All BSA registration fees and Boy's Life Subscriptions will also be due at that time.
